Buyer’s Market: What It Means For You

by Seekers And Sellers Realty Group, LLC 01/03/2023

Happy New Year!

What a roller coaster of a year 2022 was. If you were frustrated with the real estate market, you're not alone; but, there is change in the air! If you have been wanting to buy a home or have decided this is the year to begin your search, you may be right!

We are starting to see more homes coming to the market, and it is slowly becoming a buyers market. Are you wondering what this means for you? Here is what it means:

1. You have more negotiating power as home prices are leveling out. You will likely not see homes going for $50,000 or $100,000 over the list price like we have seen over the past two years.

2. As a buyer you will likely have time to make a decision and no longer feel rushed to make a decision. We will see less and less houses selling within the first week of being listed.

3. You will not feel pressured to make an offer that doesn't include a home inspection — which means you will know exactly what you are buying.

4. Financially speaking you will have more options to buy a home. We are starting to see buyers ask for help from sellers to pay some of their closing costs. And, creative financing is an option again, such as 2/1 buydowns that can lower your interest rate.

These are all very positive things for home buyers, but there are so many other tips that we want you to know. In the coming days we will be announcing a Home Buyers and Sellers Seminar we will be holding at the end of January right here in Concord. Along with me there will be other experts in the field such as local lenders, inspectors, title companies, and more.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram, and Facebook (click links below)  as I will be rolling out more information about the event as we update it. You won't want to miss out. Did I mention it is free?

In the meantime, have a safe and happy new year!

Warmly,
Nylora
